About

Escape Pod X is a multimedia project from the Interstellar Broadcasting Corporation, a performing arts ensemble composed primarily of Middlebury College students and alumni.

Escape Pod X utilizes a variety of social media to tell its stories.  Loosely structured as a “serialized anthology,” it consists of a blog, multiple Twitter Feeds, and a podcast.

The blog chronicles the trials and tribulations of Captain Robert Clarke who, following the destruction of his ship, floats through the galaxy in his crippled escape pod.  Captain Clarke is desperate to communicate with anyone he can reach, in the hope that doing so will lead to rescue.

The two Twitter Feeds serve different purposes.  The first, @CaptainRJClarke, is the official feed for Captain Clarke.  Through this feed he offers his thoughts on his current predicament, as well as updates followers on his progress and the steps he is taking to get home.  The second, @IBCorp, focuses on the production side of the project, and gives followers an inside look at our creative process.

The third and final component of Escape Pod X is a podcast containing vintage and original audio dramas hosted by Captain Clarke.  We hope you enjoy!
